The "Auntie"

You must be wondering why I put this "Auntie" looking portrait up on my blog for this post. I tell you! Dont play play ok! This woman is the ONLY woman in the China history to be a Female Emperor! Her name is Wu Zetian 武則天.

I am not about to type her whole life story her, but you can read up on Wu Zetian on Wikipedia. I find this 'Auntie' very interesting.

1- She is the ONLY woman in China history to become an Emperor, she went against the odds
2- She introduced her own dynasty, the Zhou dynasty and abandon the Tang dynasty
3- Her rule resulted in better equality between the sexes during the succeeding Tang Dynasty.
4- She oversaw public works projects, shrank the army, lowered taxes, suppressed rebellions, made Buddhism the state religion and had many temples built, kept up strong foreign relations and rode the wave of a flourishing economy
5- She framed or killed or controlled all her family members in order for her road to power to succeed. (You can do tt or not? Seow sial)

Wu Zetian's life story is a good one to read, For feminist critique, if you dont know nothing about Wu Zetian, then dont call yourself a feminist!
