Saddam Is Dead

Saddam Hussein - (April 28, 1937 – December 30, 2006)


I just bought a book on Saddam Hussein a week ago, and today he is dead.

Sometimes I really wonder why Saddam is the Saddam we know today? Does power really matters so much? Does it? What did all the glorious fame and power brought Saddam?

I tell you what it brought him.. TODAY..to die alone in front of the public eyes, how pathetic can that get? His family wasnt even there to see him for the last time alive, his 2 sons and grandson are dead, his 2 daughters disowned him beccause he killed both his daughters' husbands, and his first wife is not with him. And his grave is unmarked in respect of all the unmarked graves he had cause during his rule.

I have mixed feelings about his death... in fact I pity him.. but whatever arguements about justice or injustice being done to Saddam.. from today onwards, he becomes a new piece of history for the upcoming 2007. A guy brought up by US and destroyed by the US.

Goodbye Mr Saddam Hussein, my Ariean friend... may your soul rest in peace..somewhere..out there..
